About Simon
As a versatile multidisciplinary designer with over 15 years of experience, I am proficient across multiple areas including brand design, graphic design, web design and motion design. I have worked with a wide range of clients and businesses where I have delivered effective results in uplifting brands and their visual communication. I have worked on some of the largest brands in Australia, including Ray White, Youi, PRD Nationwide, Tackleworld and many more.
In 2021, I joined Youi Insurance’s award-winning brand and creative team, which operated within Youi’s full-service in-house marketing agency. I worked on advertising campaigns across a variety of formats, with my work featured nationwide on TV and digital advertising for campaigns including Life Changes (2021), Youi Savers (2022), and WFH (2022). I also designed large-scale out-of-home advertising campaigns which were displayed throughout Sydney and South-east Queensland. I was a key designer in Youi’s multi-faceted campaigns as partners of the NRL and the Brisbane Lions in 2021 and 2022.
I also did design work for Youi’s many internal needs, including corporate stationery, emails, letterheads, pullup banners and posters. I played a pivotal role in the design work of Youi’s largest internal messaging campaign in its history – ‘The Vision’. I designed building signage, coffee cups, stationery, posters, digital screens, meeting cards, and more. Additionally, I designed the logo for the annual event – ‘Visionfest’. My work for Youi’s ‘The Vision’ was selected as a finalist at the 2022 BADC Awards in the Design category.
In 2023, I designed the visual identity for a production of ‘The Boy from Oz’. The show ran for two weeks across six performances in March 2023, and was enormously successful – with an attendance of nearly 7,000.
As Senior Graphic Designer, I was involved in the successful rebranding of The Empire Theatre, the largest regional theatre in Australia. Additionally, I developed and designed the comprehensive Graphic Standards Manual for the new brand.
I have worked on some of the largest brands in Australia, including Youi, Ray White, Tackleworld, PRD Nationwide, and many more. My work ranges from locally-targeted small business branding and marketing, all the way to large-scale national advertising campaigns for multinational companies that generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue annually.
